ChromaCon<\/strong> began in 2006 with a question: why should purification be the bottleneck in biopharmaceutical manufacturing?<\/p>\n

Our founders, working from deep expertise in separation science, saw that batch chromatography\u2014despite being the industry standard\u2014left significant room for improvement.<\/p>\n

Their answer was continuous chromatography. Combining the advantages of counter-current movement and automated cyclic operation, this approach dramatically improved process economics while reducing waste.<\/p>\n

CaptureSMB\u00ae optimizes capture steps by running two columns in a synchronized sequence, maximizing resin loading capacity while minimizing buffer consumption. The result: significantly lower cost of goods for high-value molecules.<\/p>\n

MCSGP together with AutoPeak\u00ae dynamic process control,\u00a0tackles complex polishing separations where conventional methods struggle. It achieves high purity and yield simultaneously\u2014particularly valuable for closely related impurities that traditional chromatography can’t cleanly resolve.<\/p>\n

These processes run on our Contichrom\u00ae platform. The Contichrom CUBE\u2014a twin-column FPLC development system\u2014lets teams evaluate multiple continuous processes and select the best approach for any given separation challenge.
